oooh, don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you've got til it's gone? They paved paradise, and put up a parking lot.

Thanks Robin, for leaving this poem you wrote years ago as a comment, which I discovered upon returning to my dorm room tonight. It brings back high school happy, carefree memories. Thank you, it was so lovely to come back to :)
Here, you all can read it:

although I do loathe meter and rhyme
Lord of the Rings has filled my mind
and therefore I write for a very long time
of Becca Souder a dear friend of mine.

O Becca Souder of Mount Clinton Pike,
what a friend I find in thee.
she shows me her teal socks
which match the teal mansion on her box
her Nalgene, her sweater, her scarves and her letters
of teal they always shall be.

O Becca Souder of Mount Clinton Pike,
how strange and pleasant that we decorate alike.
there is no remaining space on your bedroom walls,
your art spills from your room on into the halls.
photos and posters, paintings and coasters
you need a few more pictures of me.

O Becca Souder of Mount Clinton Pike
What a friend I find in thee
together we romp on autumn leave trails,
December day picnics, without blankets nor males.
in flowers and raindrops, sunsets and hill tops
the beauty of nature you see.

O Becca Souder of Mount Clinton Pike,
how I wish you had been free tonight.
For at home I sit a’sulkin’
writing poetry and reading Tolkien.
Frodo and the ring, in rhymes Hobbits sing.
Tom Bombadil in the movie should be!

So ode to Becca Souder
who when in doubt can always sing louder.
When the time comes for me to leave,
do not let my absence deceive .
A friend you will always have in me.

Tonight, in the company of Chelsea, Robin, Laura, and Caleb, I rolled off the bed, onto the floor and moaned a lot. The reason being: I'M TIRED!!! Since my day was chocked full of classes and meetings, that means zero time for homework.

But it's okay :) I'm not complaining. Really. I'm not. I'm listening to jazzed up Bach, and am considering taking off my shoes to climb into bed. Yeah. I think that's what I'm going to do. Right now. Goodnight loves.

give me strength to find the road that's lost in me
give me time to heal and build myself a dream
give me eyes to see the world surrounding me
give me strength to be only me
